When a request to book is made, the ‘lead name’ on the booking request guarantees that he or she has the authority to accept and does accept on behalf of the party the terms of these booking conditions. When we receive your booking, we will send you instructions for payment. After all appropriate payments have been made, we will send you an email confirming receipt of the payment and a binding agreement will come into existence between you and us.
This contract is governed by the law of France, and the jurisdiction of the French Courts.
It is important to check the email confirmation when you get it, or if booking late at the time of booking, that all the details are exactly as you requested. In the event of any discrepancy, please contact us immediately as it may not be possible to make changes later.
Prices and website accuracy
The information and prices shown on the Website may have changed by the time you come to book your arrangements. Although we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the Website information and prices at the time of loading, regrettably errors do occasionally occur. You must therefore ensure you check the price and all other details of your chosen arrangements with us at the time of booking.
Passports, Visas and Health Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. We regret we cannot accept liability if you are refused entry onto any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry contact documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
Insurance
It is your responsibility to ensure that you obtain the relevant insurance cover once the your booking has been confirmed by us. We consider adequate travel insurance to be essential. Please read your policy and take it with you on the Retreat. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs.
Paying for your Retreat
Your place is not confirmed until full payment has been made.
If we do not receive this balance in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you in which case the cancellation charges may become payable. Your place is not confirmed until full payment has been made.
Cancelling for your Retreat
If you Cancel your Retreat – You, or any member of your party, may cancel your Retreat at any time.
Written notification by email to office of the Hamlet for which you registered from the ‘lead name’ on the booking must be received. We regret we cannot pay any expenses, costs or losses incurred by you as a result of any change or cancellation if you cancel the Retreat.

Please note, if only some members of your party cancel, in addition to incurring the applicable cancellation charges, we will recalculate the Retreat cost for the remaining people in your party.
Cancellation of Retreats by Plum Village
Plum Village reserves the right to cancel a retreat under any circumstances. In this event, you will be offered a full refund for any payments you have made to us already. Plum Village accepts no further liability for retreat cancellations beyond the retreat registration fee refund. For example we cannot be liable for any funds spent on advance travel arrangements, such as flight tickets and visas.
Depending on the country of residence of the person wishing to make a donation (‘Donor’), donations will be possible through credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) or via an online payment methods (Paypal etc.). Local charges may apply for the donation payment. For further details in
this regard, please contact your bank.
Credit card details will not be transferred to CBZ Village des Pruniers, but only (i) to the credit card company directly or (ii) to the mandated payment service provider (Stripe) in charge of processing the payment with the respective credit card company.
Upon receipt of the payment, the Donor will receive via e-mail a confirmation of his/her donation, containing the details of CBZ Village des Pruniers, name and address of Donor, as well as date, amount and currency of the donation (as required to qualify for tax-deductibility in certain jurisdictions).
Unless under special conditions visitors shall pay their reservation or donation online.
They shall use a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, etc.) or online payment method (Paypal, iDEAL, etc.), indicating the following information in the area provided for this purpose (secure entry by SSL encryption): the card number without spaces, its expiration date and the card security code, in order to make the payment via the Stripe platform.
CBZ Village des Pruniers has chosen Stripe (Payment Service Provider) to secure card payments made online. The validity of the customer’s payment card is verified by Stripe.
Payment cards may be refused for a number of reasons: stolen or blocked card, credit limit reached, incorrect details entered. In the event of a problem, the customer should contact their bank first and then contact Plum Village to confirm the reservation and payment method.

It is explicitly stated that these Conditions are governed by French law. Any dispute that would arise during the execution of this contract will be submitted to the competent courts of Bordeaux.
This retreat will be photographed and sometimes filmed to share online with friends who cannot be here in person, as well as for future communication and media uses by the International Plum Village Community. By coming to Plum Village, you consent to your image being used (without compensation): If you, or your family members, do not wish to be in a photo, please approach the photographer directly or speak to the website team.
