Dear friends,
I wrote this poem in veneration of Thich Nhat Hanh, whose inspirational writing and poetry has helped me live more peacefully with mental health issues. I am very new to Buddhism, but I feel a deep connection. I hope this poem conveys the peace and calm within the teachings, and conscious breathing for touching peace.
With warm regards
Karen Balmer
Relax, Let Go
Breathe in,
Karen Balmer
Calm your feelings,
There is nothing to cling to.
Acknowledge, and let go.
Breathe out,
Calm your thoughts,
There are no expectations.
Acknowledge, and let go.
Smile,
Return to your true home.
Relax,
Set free your inner light.
Be who you are,
Right here, right now.
Experience fully this wonderful moment,
There is nothing missing.
Loving light
Resides wherever you rest,
Deep within you. Unwrap this
Treasure, and let it roam free.
